Manufacturing Engineer
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the primary responsibilities for this position are to:
- Identify, analyze and lead the implementation of process improvements
- Participate in product launches and changes by determining product costing and leading commissioning of launches to the production floor
- Continuously learn and become an expert in problem solving, continuous improvement, product manufacturability and manufacturing best practices
- Support each product value stream by providing job instruction details with training to production staff and performing process audits
- Create and maintain the shop floor layout, production line and machine capacity details, and labor cost standards
- Identify and implement cost savings in the value stream in the areas of labor and material.
- Provide support to all departments as required.
- Treat others with respect, promote a positive and productive culture and contribute to shared team goals.
- Travel may be required and typically will not exceed 10%.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Industrial technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical, scientific or engineering degree
- At least 5 years of related experience in manufacturing based engineering role
- Passion and commitment to manufacturing and operations
- Strong affiliation with Price’s Corporate Values
- A high degree of energy and initiative demonstrated through work experiences, volunteer roles, community activities and/or involvement in school, clubs, community services and sports
- Exceptional communication skills
- Team player with the ability to build and maintain working relationships
- Strong understanding of material and labor costing
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with expertise in Excel
- Familiarity with AutoCAD technical drawing software or equivalent
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools
