CNC Programmer

MAIN FUNCTION:

Price Industries Inc., a leader in the commercial HVAC industry, is seeking a Sheet Metal Programmer with any experience (2 years + preferred) programming Turret Punch Presses, Lasers, Panel Bender, Automated Folder and Press Brakes with the use of software like Striker Systems, Dr Abe Bend, AP100US and AutoCAD. Working knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes and their machines is highly desirable, willing to learn/train on new equipment unique software.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Create CNC programs for all new products

Update CNC programs for all Engineering Changes

Ability to layout and develop flat patterns for simple and complex parts

Improve CNC material utilization

Implement changes to improve scrap rate

Develop and implement ideas to improve management of filler parts

Assist production as needed in troubleshooting manufacturing issues

Ability to create and modify CAD drawings

Read, understand and comprehend basic blueprints and drawings

Ability to learn new software

Sense of urgency. This is a job tied closely to production, requiring quick implementation of new product designs and changes to existing designs

Strong problem solving skills. Ability to investigate an issue and determine best course of action

Performs with an intention to quality and continuous improvement

Excellent work ethic, ability to adapt, multi-task, and work within a group

Have understanding of machinery and materials and be willing to adjust quickly to changes made to a plan when necessary

Must be well organized with the ability to be solution driven

Staying up to date with the latest tooling options and industry innovations

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Bachelor’s degree is desirable.

Preferred 2+ years experience programming Turret Punch Presses, Fiber Lasers, and Press Brakes

Experience with Striker, Dr Abe Bend, AutoCAD, Solid Edge, and/or similar software

Knowledge of textile cutting machines is desirable.

Computer skills including MS Office and the ability to learn company business systems
